INITIAL CONSULTATION

As avid sports fans, Henderson Building Group realizes that much like a coach choosing just the right players to create a winning team, choosing the right builder to build your home is one of the most critical phases of the homebuilding process.

During this initial meeting, we will try to learn more about you, your family and your lifestyle. We will discuss your ideal architectural style, location, budget and your priorities for your new home to ensure that we know what will make this a win for you. We understand that you will want to know how long it takes and what happens next. We promise to keep you informed every step of the way.

VIABILITY

The next meeting we will discuss the viability of your new home and outline in more detail a budget range and the next steps. If you are in need of architectural plans, we will be happy to arrange a meeting with one of our architectural partners suited to meet your individual needs.

Following the initial architectural meeting, we will discuss the location of your home on your lot, elevation, clearing, site drainage, erosion control, utility connections and landscape plan.

THE BUILDING AGREEMENT

With a mutual understanding of your needs and budget as well as your expectations of Henderson Building Group we will move forward with a Design Build Agreement. We will begin coordinating the multitude of details from design, building techniques and material selections.

INITIAL BUDGET REVIEW

We will begin estimating the cost to build your home with preliminary plans and will review with you for your approval or to make necessary adjustments. Once any final revisions are approved by you we will provide a more accurate estimate.

CONTRACTUAL REVIEW

With completed and approved architectural plans we will work closely with you on final selections and specifications to ensure your home is outfitted with your vision. We can provide you with a number of interior designers to work hand in hand with you to make certain your wishes are in line with your budget.

With final plans and finish schedules, we will move to the contract stage and provide the necessary documents you will need for the financing. At this stage we will begin the permit and approvals procedure.

BUILDING YOUR HOME

Now the fun begins! With the design process complete, it’s time to build your new home. We will be on site to manage your project every step of the way and help you understand each phase of the construction process. As part of your Building Construction Agreement, you will receive a written construction schedule. Not only will you see the progression of the construction, you will also be given a timeline for decisions and selections to be made. This results in Henderson Building Group completing your home on time. We truly believe that communication is the strongest building block when building your home.

It’s an exciting time to watch your home being built from the ground up. We anticipate that you will visit your home site often during the construction phase and you will have questions outside of our structured meetings. Please know that Henderson Building Group is available by phone, email or to meet you at a mutually convenient time. We are also happy to provide progress photos and updated schedules for you.

A WRITTEN BUILDER LIMITED WARRANTY

After the completion of the project, a full one-year written warranty protects your home or other construction project on all workmanship and materials unless otherwise covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty. First month inspection included. First year anniversary inspection included.
